The city of Kriva Palanka belongs to the northeastern part of Northern Macedonia and is the seat of the Municipality of Kriva Palanka which has almost 20,000 inhabitants. The city is located near the Deve Bair national border crossing with Bulgaria, which is considered the main border crossing between Northern Macedonia and Bulgaria because it connects the capitals Skopje with Sofia.

Target Communications held 3 workshops in the Municipality of Kriva Palanka where the mission and vision for this project were determined and based on all data developed a strategy for tourism development in the Municipality of Kriva Palanka which includes a 5 year plan followed by strategic goals and a detailed action plan to develop tourism, highlighting the existing sites and creating new tourist activities in this municipality.
