STRATEGY FOR TOURISM OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF SARAJ

The strategic planning process is a dynamic process that should determine the priorities and goals that will be realized through certain programs, defined projects and specific activities, within a certain budget. The purpose of the strategic planning is to project the future of the municipality in a way that will enable the realization of the vision of the municipality in the field of tourism. Tourism as a branch has significant potential in fostering development. The purpose of this strategy is to create a quality tourist offer, which will not only attract tourists, but will encourage investment and thus the economic development of the municipality. 

The Target Communications team started by diagnosing the current situation of tourism and determining the opportunities and potentials offered by the municipality of Saraj for tourism development, then a detailed research was done on all the main factors for tourism development (number of tourists, accommodation facilities, sites, etc.), the legal regulations were reviewed, SWOT and PEST analyzes were made, direct interviews with stakeholders, in order to map possible tourist sites on the territory of the municipality of Saraj. After we had enough information gathered, a workshop was organized to determine and define the mapped tourist sites on the territory of the municipality, from which a draft version emerged, from which, after reviewing, correcting and supplementing, a final version for the development of Saraj municipality until 2022 was compiled.
