In the last period, tourism is identified as one of the basic priorities of the City of Skopje. General benefits from the tourism branch represents an important segment in the overall economic and social development of the city. Creation of this strategy for development of tourism in the city of Skopje, means implementation of regulations on a local level, and to encourage and create conditions for a better development of local tourism and improved conditions for tourists in the city.
The aim of the project is to define the vision of the city in the section of tourism in the next 5 years. Basic goals of this strategy is to identify directions and concepts for tourism of Skopje, and to implement a higher development of tourism. The strategy will represent a framework for a continuing development and will contribute to the overall improvement of the quality of life of the population in these areas.
In its portfolio, Target Communications has developed more than 10 strategies and action plans for companies and institutions. They use a modern European approach to working, collecting, analyzing and interpreting information and data. Target Communications developed co-operatives in the area of the city of Skopje, with the central government, with educational institutions, hotels, travel agencies, operators and chambers, associations and associations of tourist-catering workers and non-governmental organizations, which took an active part in the preparation and realization of this Strategy.
Target Communications was brought in by Skopje City Government to prepare development possibilities program and strategy for tourism in Skopje City. In this direction, Target Communications has organised and completed presentations on Macedonian tourism resources in front of the Skopje City tourism representatives and greater percent of subjects in the tourism sector.
Defining the tourist product of Skopje City as an important development component. In this direction Target Communications have completed:
- Presentation of the natural- ecological resources.
- Development of cultural tourism.
- Presentation of the development possibilities for other alternative forms of tourism.
